The Houston Zoo had another one of their photo days this weekend. I missed the last one but was able to go to this one. The only bad news was the heat and humidity. The zoo opens early at 7am for these events, and that seems to be the most humid part of the day.

I went to an activity with the Cassowary. The keeper said this one weighs about 100 pounds. It has enough kicking power to kill a person!! And it can kick both forwards and backwards. I thought it had beautiful colors.
